The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a recall of about 1.7 million pieces of 9-ply “Thermal Wall” cookware sold by Royal Prestige. The agency said the cookware can collapse or severely deform when heated, posing a burn and fire hazard. There have been more than 1,100 reports of cookware deforming, including one report of a customer being splattered with hot oil.
