12,000 Bicycles Recalled due to Frame Issue

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a recall of more than 12,000 bicycles and frame sets from Specialized Bicycle Components Inc. due to defects in the steering tube. The agency said the steering tube and front fork on the bike’s frame can break during use, posing a fall hazard to the rider. There have been two incidents reported from where the bikes broke, including one facial injury.
