Potential Contamination Prompts Bean Paste Recall

Nielsen-Massey Vanillas, Inc. has issued a voluntary recall of a lot of its Bourbon Pure Vanilla Bean Paste due to the potential presence of Listeria monocytogenes. The company discovered the potential contamination during a routine test earlier this month. If consumed, Listeria can cause high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea.
