The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada have announced a recall of more than 23,000 canning jar lifters from Progressive due to laceration risks. The agency said the handle on the jar lifter can break off, causing the tongs that grip the jar to fail, allowing the jar to fall and possibly shatter. There have been no reports of injuries.
